Tips On Buying Sports Equipment Online

Buying sports equipment online in the UK can be a bit daunting, with shops offering discounts here and special offers there. It is so important however, that you manage to get a good deal on quality equipment. Here are some vital shopping tips for a safe experience when buying sports equipment online:

Exercise equipment stores Some stores will offer a good range of equipment at all prices, and others will only offer products within a particular price band. Whichever you buy from you must be sure that it is a reputable store with good knowledge of the sports industry. We suggest you buy from specialist fitness suppliers rather than department stores, as their advice into what to buy and their after sales care will be of much benefit to you.

Quality You may be tempted to buy discount or second hand equipment, please be aware that these will not end up being such a bargain as they are often a lot poorer in durability and workmanship. Although the price may seem inviting, you will end up having to work twice as hard to get the results that quality equipment will give you!

Warranties Be aware of equipment with a short, or parts only warranty. You need to make sure that you get value for money and that your equipment is going to last. Never buy equipment with a RETURN-TO-BASE warranty!

Compare prices This may seem like an obvious one, but it is so important to compare prices when shopping for sports equipment. The difference in some prices can be huge, what looks like a special offer in one store may actually be more than the standard price in another. Don't be sucked into buying the first thing you see, do your research and see what other stores have on offer.

Visit Millimart.com for more information on buying sports equipment online.

Wedding Invitation Etiquette

Wedding invitations are traditionally printed with black ink in an "engraved" or script type style. Before the actual wedding invitation is printed, there is one more formal letter known as Save the Date Announcement should be sent to your near and dear ones, so that they block that date for a particular wedding.

With so many families there are so many varieties of wedding invitation one can make. All the wedding invitations should contain all the information, like the date, venue, time, the place, the purpose of the party, the names of the bride and the groom, and their parents and other RSVP information.

For formal events there are certain etiquettes which should be observed. Write out names in full, including middle names. Omit the middle name if necessary, rather than using an initial.

It is appropriate to use the American spellings, unless you prefer to use the British spellings for "honor" and "favor."

Spell out all the words including the time, date and the hour of the event. Spell out all the words in the address including the road, street and avenue. There are only two exceptions to this rule; you can use St. in the place of Saint and Mt. in the place of Mount.

For ceremonies taking place in the house of worship, use "request the honor of the presence" and ceremonies in non-religious places use "request the presence of your company."

Wedding invitation wordings change, when the parents of the bride are issuing the card. Similarly, when the couple is issuing the card the wordings will be slightly different. Again if the bride or groom is divorced and remarrying the wording will be slightly different.

Normally, with the wedding invitation card the reception card will also be printed. If the reception is immediately after the wedding or at a later part of the day, it should be specified clearly. The venue, the time, the date should be clearly indicated.

The response card can be attached with the wedding invitation. You can also include menu choice for your guests in advance. If the wedding and the reception are in two different places, a map can be attached, so that it is easy for the guest to plan their movement in advance.

The address on the outer envelope as well in the response card should be written by hand to give a personal touch. The wedding invitation, the reception card, the response card or any other attachments like a map should be placed inside the envelope in the proper order. Mail your invitations at least six to eight weeks in advance.

Is Your Authentic Designer Handbag Really Authentic?

So, you have just bought a new designer handbag. Maybe you have had your eye on a Christian Dior Saddle Handbag, or Gucci Jackie-O that you know your friends will drool over . You got a huge discount off of the hefty retail price and you're feeling pretty good about yourself. But now you are wondering- is my designer handbag authentic.

Determining the authenticity on any product can be a little tricky, but if you know the basics, you will be able to spot a fake in just a few seconds.

One of the best ways to ensure your new handbag is authentic is to look at the bag itself. Designer handbags are popular and cost as much as they due because first and for-most they are made from quality materials. Take a good look at the stitching. There should be no loose or missing stitches, the color of the thread should match the main color of the bag and the stitches should be evenly spaced. If the handbag is leather, the logo should be engraved, not just printed on the leather.

Also take a look at the hardware. All of the hardware should match in color and sheen. The hardware should also be free of scratches. Many manufactures, including Gucci, Fendi and Prada, protect their hardware with a removable plastic cover that is to be removed only after it has been purchased. The brand name or logo should be engraved, not embossed or simply printed on the hardware. You can also find the brand name of logo engraved on the strap hardware on Gucci, Fendi, Prada, Chanel.

Inspect the material the bag; lining, hardware and accents are made of. Many handbags are made of different types of leather, from Lambskin, Calfskin, Goatskin and Patent Leather, but it is easy to distinguish if the leather is of a good quality or not. The lining is usually made of a satin material that has a nice shine to it and most designer handbags have the name brand name or logo on the lining. Designers almost always use leather accents, not plastic. Some purses have straps that are specially coated and seem to be artificial. However a quick look at the edge of the strap, usually near a stitched joint, should reveal a leather core.

Is there an authenticity card. An authenticity card is a little card that usually has the manufactures logo embossed on the front and has some information about the product you purchased and sometimes includes a magnetic strip, bar code. Many manufacturers, including Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Kate Spade and Coach, use these cards.

Check for a serial number. Not all manufacturers use serial numbers, but many do. The serial number for Fendi purses can be found on the inside pocket. Simply turn the pocket inside out and there will be a printed number on the fabric or possibly on the leather tag. Gucci includes a small leather tag on the zipper seam of the handbag which includes a serial number.

If you shop wisely, and inspect the bag carefully, you will be able to spot a fake from a mile away.

Out of town wedding guests are quite frequent in virtually any wedding. Weddings are in reality, the social events that encompass not just the union of two souls, but also of two families. As a result, it is quite natural for several wedding guests from out of town to arrive in order to attend the wedding. These may include near relations living abroad, distant relations, or even family friends. It is a part and parcel of any wedding to tend to these guests as diligently as the arrangements for the wedding itself.

Wedding guests occasionally, arrive to participate in the wedding ceremony itself. These may include even the best man or the bridesmaid, which are occasionally family friends. Hence, it is not at all uncommon to have these guests acting, as though the wedding is their personal affair as well, for in reality, it is. The wedding is, after all, an event for everyone to celebrate.

The first thing to be considered during the arrival of any guest from out of town is his or her accommodations. Even for out of town wedding guests, accommodations often have to be made. This is true especially for those who intend to stay with the families of the groom or the bride. This is largely the case with friends and relations intending to participate in the wedding ceremony. Making room for wedding guests makes the wedding affair appear to be a ruckus, but what is a celebration without a bit of hullabaloo anyway? It is just part of the fun before a wedding, and one should try to enjoy these rare occasions of liveliness without compromising anyones comfort.

Some if not most out of town guests often require arrangements to be made for their lodgings in local hotels or guesthouses. It is mandatory while arranging for such forms of lodging that comfort is kept at the top level of priority.

Some guests have a tendency to interfere unduly in the proceedings. It is only wise never to be impolite to out of town wedding guests, but such instances are not to be taken lightly. A single blemish on the wedding ceremony can remain as a scar forever. The best way to handle such guests is to keep them safely out of the way as much as possible by engaging them in affairs not directly concerned with the wedding.

No new technology develops smoothly, and video conferencing had more than its share of bumps along the way before becoming the widely used communications staple it is today. The history of video conferencing in its earliest form goes back to the 1960s, when AT&T introduced the Picturephone at the Worlds Fair in New York. While viewed as a fascinating curiosity, it never became popular and was too expensive to be practical for most consumers when it was offered for $160 a month in 1970.

Commercial use of real video conferencing was first realized with Ericssons demonstration of the first trans-Atlantic LME video telephone call. Soon other companies began refining video conferencing technologies, including such advancements as network video protocol (NVP) in 1976 and packet video protocol (PVP) in 1981. None of these were put into commercial use, however, and stayed in the laboratory or private company use.

In 1976, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone established video conferencing (VC) between Tokyo and Osaka for company use. IBM Japan followed suit in 1982 by establishing VC running at 48000bps to link up with already established internal IBM video conferencing links in the United States so that they could have weekly meetings.

The 1980s introduce commercial video conferencing

In 1982, Compression Labs introduces their VC system to the world for $250,000 with lines for $1,000 an hour. The system was huge and used enormous resources capable of tripping 15 amp circuit breakers. It was, however, the only working VC system available until PictureTels VC hit the market in 1986 with their substantially cheaper $80,000 system with $100 per hour lines.

In the time in between these two commercially offered systems, there were other video conferencing systems developed that were never offered commercially. The history of video conferencing isnt complete without mentioning these systems that were either prototypes or systems developed specifically for in-house use by a variety of corporations or organizations, including the military. Around 1984, Datapoint was using the Datapoint MINX system on their Texas campus, and had provided the system to the military.

In the late 1980s, Mitsubishi began selling a still-picture phone that was basically a flop in the market place. They dropped the line two years after introducing it. In 1991, the first PC based video conferencing system was introduced by IBM PicTel. It was a black and white system using what was at the time an incredibly inexpensive $30 per hour for the lines, while the system itself was $20,000. In June of the same year, DARTnet had successfully connected a transcontinental IP network of over a dozen research sites in the United States and Great Britain using T1 trunks. Today, DARTnet has evolved into the CAIRN system, which connects dozens of institutions.

CU-SeeMe revolutionizes video conferencing

One of the most famous systems in the history of video conferencing was the CU-SeeMe developed for the MacIntosh system in 1992. Although the first version didnt have audio, it was the best video system developed to that point. By 1993, the MAC program had multipoint capability, and in 1994, CU-SeeMe MAC was true video conferencing with audio. Recognizing the limitations of MAC compatibility in a Windows world, developers worked diligently to roll out the April 1994 CU-SeeME for Windows (no audio), followed closely by the audio version, CU-SeeMe v0.66b1 for Windows in August of 1995.

In 1992, AT&T rolled out their own $1,500 video phone for the home market. It was a borderline success. That same year, the worlds first MBone audio/video broadcast took place and in July INRIAs video conferencing system was introduced. This is the year that saw the first real explosion in video conferencing for businesses around the globe and eventually led to the standards developed by the ITU.

International Telecommunications Union develops coding standards

The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) began developing standards for video conferencing coding in 1996, when they established Standard H.263 to reduce bandwidth for transmission for low bit rate communication. Other standards were developed, including H.323 for packet-based multi-media communications. These are a variety of other telecommunications standards were revised and updated in 1998. In 1999, Standard MPEG-4 was developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group as an ISO standard for multimedia content.

In 1993, VocalChat Novell IPX networks introduced their video conferencing system, but it was doomed from the start and didnt last. Microsoft finally came on board the video conferencing bandwagon with NetMeeting, a descendent of PictureTels Liveshare Plus, in August of 1996 (although it didnt have video in this release). By December of the same year, Microsoft NetMeeting v2.0b2 with video had been released. That same month, VocalTecs Internet Phone v4.0 for Windows was introduced.

VRVS links global research centers

The Virtual Room Videoconferencing System (VRVS) project at Caltech-CERN kicked off in July of 1997. They developed the VRVS specifically to provide video conferencing to researchers on the Large Hadron Collider Project and scientists in the High Energy and Nuclear Physics Community in the U.S. and Europe. It has been so successful that seed money has been allotted for phase two, CalREN-2, to improve and expand on the already in-place VRVS system in order to expand it to encompass geneticists, doctors, and a host of other scientists in the video conferencing network around the world.

Cornell Universitys development team released CU-SeeMe v1.0 in 1998. This color video version was compatible with both Windows and MacIntosh, and huge step forward in pc video conferencing. By May of that year, the team has moved on to other projects.

In February of 1999, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) was launched by MMUSIC. The platform showed some advantages over H.323 that user appreciated and soon made it almost as popular. 1999 was a very busy year, with NetMeeting v3.0b coming out, followed quickly by version three of the ITU standard H.323. Then came the release of iVisit v2.3b5 for both Windows and Mac, followed by Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), version 1. In December, Microsoft released a service pack for NetMeeting v3.01 (4.4.3388) and an ISO standard MPEG-4 version two was released. Finally, PSInet was the first company to launch H.323 automated multipoint services. Like we said, 1999 was a very busy year.

SIP entered version 1.30 in November of 2000, the same year that standard H.323 hit version 4, and Samsung released their MPEG-4 streaming 3G video cell phone, the first of its kind. It was a hit, particularly in Japan. Rather predictably, Microsoft NetMeeting had to release another service pack for version 3.01.

In 2001, Windows XP messenger announced that it would now support Session Initiation Protocol. This was the same year the worlds first transatlantic tele-surgery took place utilizing video conferencing. In this instance, video conferencing was instrumental in allowing a surgeon in the U.S. to use a robot overseas to perform gall bladder surgery on a patient. It was one of the most compelling non-business uses in the history of video conferencing, and brought the technology to the attention of the medical profession and the general public.

In October of 2001, television reporters began using a portable satellite and a videophone to broadcast live from Afghanistan during the war. It was the first use of video conferencing technology to converse live with video with someone in a war zone, again bringing video conferencing to the forefront of peoples imaginations.

Founded in December of 2001, the Joint Video Team completed basic research leading to ITU-T H.264 by December of 2002. This protocol standardized video compression technology for both MPEG-4 and ITU-T over a broad range of application areas, making it more versatile than its predecessors. In March of 2003, the new technology was ready for launch to the industry.

New uses for video conferencing technologies

2003 also saw the rise in use of video conferencing for off-campus classrooms. Interactive classrooms became more popular as the quality of streaming video increased and the delay decreased. Companies such as VBrick provided various MPEG-4 systems to colleges across the country. Desktop video conferencing is also on the rise and gaining popularity.

Companies newer to the market are now refining the details of performance in addition to the nuts and bolts of transmission. In April of 2004, Applied Global Technologies developed a voice-activated camera for use in video conferencing that tracks the voice of various speakers in order to focus on whoever is speaking during a conference call. In March 2004, Linux announced the release of GnomeMeeting, an H.323 compliant, free video conferencing platform that is NetMeeting compatible.

With the constant advances in video conferencing systems, it seems obvious that the technology will continue to evolve and become an integral part of business and personal life. As new advances are made and systems become more reasonably priced, keep in mind that choices are still determined by network type, system requirements and what your particular conferencing needs are.

Hemorrhoids are an uncomfortable and embarrassing fact of life for millions of people around the world, particularly the middle-aged and elderly living relatively sedentary lives. Hemorrhoid treatment can vary from topical ointments to surgical intervention, depending on the severity of the case. Western medicine often concerns itself primarily with targeting the symptoms, and not paying much attention to the contributing factors. Thankfully, the condition can often be prevented with a few precautions.

Hemorrhoids, also known as Piles, are enlarged veins that protrude inside the rectum. They can cause a painful, burning sensation in the rectum, discomfort in sitting, and make bowel movements an unpleasant affair. It is estimated that up to 85% of the elderly population of North America require hemorrhoids treatment at some point. They are often caused by extensive sitting and standing, straining while having a bowel movement as a result of constipation, lifting of heavy objects in such a way as to cause undue strain in the rectum, and possibly be hereditary.

Hemorrhoids Treatment

There is a wide variety of hemorrhoids treatment available today, from the standard Western medical approach to naturapath holistic methods. Each has its own level of risk, cost and effectiveness. Here is an overview:

Medical Hemorrhoids Treatment

The most common treatment is a topical cream which reduces swelling. There are various brand names available over-the-counter, and some prescription only creams. More invasive methods include cryogenic freezing, called 'scelerotherapy', done by injecting directly into the hemorrhoid. Another surgical method is to apply a rubber band ligature, which cuts off the circulation and then they either fall off or are cut out.

Acupuncture Hemorrhoids Treatment

Acupuncture is a healing method which has been practiced in China for thousands of years. Acupuncture affects the central nervous system, and works by focusing on the general health and immune system of the patient, rather than on specific symptoms. Acupuncture hemorrhoids treatment can be quite effective.

Herbal Hemorrhoids Treatment

When using an herbal treatment, it is best to begin by having a warm soak in a bath or sitz bath. Adding epsom salts can help reduce swelling. The Japanese Pagoda tree has properties that are believed to strengthen vein walls, and improve circulation. Bioflavonoids and Horse chestnut are also known to have positive effect. After the bath, ointment containing the herbs can be applied topically directly to the affected area and left overnight.

Diet Considerations

When it comes to finding an effective hemorrhoids treatment, there is none better than focusing directly on diet. This is because they are often caused by straining during constipation, and constipation is a direct result of poor diet. Rule number one is: drink plenty of water. Most Americans are chronically dehydrated, and not even aware of it. Second rule is to eat a diet high in fibre. Great sources of fibre are psyllium seeds, beets, green beans, cabbage, citrus fruits and oats. Any high vegetable diet will do. Also highly effective is to take one to two tablespoons of flax seed oil daily, and drink mild chamomile tea, a natural regulator. In cases of extreme constipation, laxatives can help but they mustn't be taken on an ongoing basis.

The best method of hemorrhoids treatment is to pay careful attention to the diet, and be sure to eat plenty of fibre and drink plenty of water. Use herbal remedies and soothing baths to ease immediate symptoms, but in the long run it is a healthy diet that will be the most effective hemorrhoids treatment you can have.

A bridesmaid is the person, who helps the bride with all the arrangements for the wedding, prior, during and post. The principal or the most important bridesmaid is called the "maid of honor" or the "matron of honor" (if she is married).

The bridesmaids are generally more than one in number and are attired in clothing similar to that of the bride. This comes from the belief that such similar clothing will tend to confuse the evil spirits about the identity of the bride and will keep her safe guarded against them.

As the bride is accessorized with various other items to go with her attire, the bridesmaids also have the options of various accessories such as purses, handbags, shoes, gloves, tiaras, etc. An invitation to be a bridesmaid is a matter of honor and even though it carries the burden of financial responsibility of buying their own attire and accessories, hosting the bridal shower, etc it is usually accepted without any qualms.

It is important to pick up shoes that are comfortable as the bridesmaid needs to be on her toes through out the wedding day. If the decision is based on style and comfort, comfort should always take more importance than style.

It is difficult to find shoes that go with the bridesmaid's dress. In such a case, it is easier to pick up a pair of shoes that can be dyed to match the color of the dress. Shoes that can be dyed to the desired color come in materials such as satin, silk or leather. They are usually white or slightly off-white in color. An off-white color is generally preferred over a white shoe because the latter usually comes with a bluish hue that may change the color of the shoe when dyed.

It is important to remember that these shoes may run color if it gets wet. So it is necessary to check with the person dyeing the shoes whether this can happen. If the chance of such a thing happening exists, the shoes can be sprayed with a water repellant to avoid damage. But, once this is done it may not be possible to re-dye the shoe at a later date.

The shoe may appear different when exposed to different lighting and therefore it is essential to check the dyed shoes under different lights, preferably in a light box to check the effect of light on the shoes.

It is better if a sample of the dyed color is seen before it is applied onto the shoes because once it is applied it may not be possible to change the color. However, the color of the shoe may not be a complete perfect match to the color of the dress and there may be some slight difference.

If there are several bridesmaids, then it is better if all their shoes are dyed with the same person to maintain consistency. It is also essential to remember that the process takes about 2-3 weeks and shopping for the shoes should be completed early so that the shoes can be dyed and received back in time for the occasion.

Once the wedding is over, the shoes can be re-dyed to a different color so that they can be matched to the regular wardrobe or used as they are.

Do you need some bridesmaid gifts such as tote bags, cosmetic bags, spa slippers and more. We also have some beach wedding favors, silver favors, bottle stopper favors or even some winter favors.

Dearfoams Men's Corduroy Moccasin

Slip your cold feet into the Corduroy moccasin slipper from Dearfoams to revive and warm yourself. This handsome slipper has a wide wale corduroy upper, soft terry lining and insole, a roomy round toe, and a flexible indoor/outdoor rubber outsole. Nothing will treat your feet better.
Customer Review: good all-purpose slipper at great price.
Light enough to be packable and machine-washable to be practical. The quilted corduroy appears to be cotton, while the inside is lined with a soft microfiber. It's the right weight to be comfortable year-round, and I like the cushion-y insole as well as the rubber-y outsole. (prevents you from getting your socks wet--don't you just hate it when that happens?). These men's Dearfoams should do the job well and last at least a couple of years. Excellent value for the price.
Customer Review: Very nice slippers for the money...
I looked at all the usual places for slippers...L L Bean, Land End, etc. and found them to be very expensive and lined with fur, which makes my feet sweat. These slippers are about half the price, very comfortable, and no sweaty feet. I highly recommend these. I was worried that they would look bad with the corderoy, but they look and feel great.

Lambs & Ivy has designed and manufactured baby crib bedding for over 20 years. Lambs & Ivy offers moderately priced crib bedding, generally featuring 6-piece bedding sets and standard accessories. The 6 piece sets generally feature a quilt, bumper, dust ruffle, fitted sheet, diaper stacker and valance. The standard accessories include: mobiles, hampers, wall borders, and wall dcor. Hello Kitty & Friends is one of Lambs & Ivy newest crib bedding sets.

The Hello Kitty & Friends 6 Piece set includes a beautiful combination of colors like lavender, pastel pink, yellow, green, and blue. The sweet garden theme comes as a complete set that includes: appliqud quilt, bumper, dust ruffle, window valance and a polka dot fitted sheet with printed designs. The machine washable, 100% cotton quilt measures 35x43.5. The bumper measures 158x10, the dust ruffle has a 14 drop, the fitted sheet measures 44x73, and the valance measures 70 in length x a 15 drop, and the diaper stacker measures 23.5x11. The entire pattern is made from a 100% cotton and with a 100% polyester fiber filing. Hello Kitty is a popular theme and one of my favorites. This machine washable, cute, and adorable cotton crib bedding set will receive a lot of attention from new moms with the desire to create a happy, friendly, bright and colorful nursery theme. The musical mobile has five little kitties hanging from the mobile. The set of 3 wall dcor has dimensional butterflies. The hello kitty wall shelf measures 9 3/8x5 x18 wide, and the wall border is pre-pasted and measures 8x30.

I think creating a crib set with the kitten theme was a great idea. The colors to me are perfect for a nursery. Most girl themes are colorful pinks and purples and that is why this set will be a great addition to the crib bedding themes, and the coordinating accessories really enhance the colors. I really look forward to seeing how popular this set will be among consumers. I think a lot of younger consumers looking for a cute, fun set and who love cats in there decoration will really enjoy this crib bedding set.

Shipping to International destinations may not be a problem for many online retailers, but for the consumer it may be a little costly on shipping and handling depending on the weight and size of your order. Consumers shopping within the continental United States, may come out cheaper because, they are not subject to additional duties and fees. Canadian customers may pay the standard fees to ship to Canada, but will receive delivery of there merchandise without paying additional customs fees. Once the order is placed the final total will include all of necessary fees, taxes, and duties to ensure that their package is delivered right to their front door.

Customer Review: What no small sizes?
What about those of us that have smaller feet? This is the first I have seen that there are no size6?? I would love to buy these but a 7 is too big!

You've made your plans, have tickets (if applicable) in hand and are ready to pack for the trip. We all know that starting to pack too early is likely to result in things left behind (toothbrushes, sunglasses, shampoos, medicines, the book you are reading) and some know that waiting too long increases anxiety to NOT forget important items which results in brain lock quite often. Here is a middle ground solution offered as a travel tip.

I suggest you make a list weeks ahead of time. For camping trips, you might include obvious things that you are not using daily like sleeping bags, tents, lanterns, radios, flashlights, binoculars, etc. But also list the items you may tend to forget and then have to buy when you arrive: charcoal, bug spray, white gas, a tarp, rope, etc. For plane trips to vacation destinations, do the same: sunglasses, toiletries, bathing suit, towels, IPOD's or similar entertainment items WITH accessories, extra batteries, medicines, reading glasses, book(s), etc. Start packing but only include items you won't need in the following week(s) AND make sure you have your printed itinerary (hotel reservation information/confirmation, plane tickets or E-tickets, Amusement Park or special tour info) and keep this specific information in an envelope on top of the suitcase. This way you won't be running around the house looking for a plane ticket with the shuttle van only 5 minutes away. The list is practical because if you have listed specific toiletries, you will go into the bathroom on departure day and gather toothpaste, medicines, conditioners, shaving cream, deodorant and other needed items in one fell swoop.

If you are sitting still. having coffee and making a travel list with a clear mind, you will remember to pack many items you would not think of if you wait for the last minute. There is nothing more irritating than going on a camping trip and having to buy a corkscrew when you have 5 in your drawer. Or paper towels when you have 2 -36 packs from Costco sitting in the basement. You will likely remember you will need golf shoes or sandals or slippers or robes. Putting down items like sunglasses will keep you from leaving them on the table if you check your list before leaving home. And of course, your wallet, passport, money and itinerary are must haves as no one wants to get to the airport and then miss their plane because they don't have proper credentials.

So make a list WEEKS before leaving and then check off all items as packed. Then keep the list near your suitcase and add the last minute items. You will be much less likely to forget anything other than toothpicks this way.

You may already know that sleeping on memory foam can greatly improve your quality of sleep, reduce the number of aches and pains in your body, and increase your overall circulation. Still, you might not have thought to ask: is your pet comfortable? Many dogs, for example, get aches and pains, especially around the hips. They can experience arthritis and other bone and muscle problems, just like humans. Why not invest in a memory foam dog bed?

Memory foam dog beds are crafted using the same technology as that used for memory foam mattresses, mattress pads, and pillows. Their open-celled composition and temperature sensitivity allow for the best balance between comfort and support available. The only difference is that they are shaped and sized for your dog.

Some manufacturers of memory foam mattresses also make dog beds. Ask your dealer, or inquire at your favorite local pet supplies outlet. You can also buy them online. Memory foam dog beds can cost you as little as $80 and as much as $240.

Your dog might need a period of acclimation to his or her new bed. When shifting positions, your dog might be surprised at the lumps left by his last position. Encourage him to stay with it; the lumps disappear within a few minutes after switching positions. If your dog doesnt seem to have the patience for this, or if the surface temperature of the bed gets a little high, try covering it with a woolen blanket.

Memory foam dog beds are soft enough to reduce pressure on joints and other jutting body parts, yet firm enough to satisfy your dogs instinctual need to sleep on solid ground. Plus, they promote healthy circulation while keeping dogs warm and comfortable.

Memory Foam Info provides detailed information on memory foam mattresses, mattress pads, pillows, slippers, and dog beds, as well as memory foam product reviews. Memory Foam Info is the sister site of Mattresses Web.

Ok you have a business and you want to utilize what is arguably the most powerful marketing tool available in the world today....The Internet! It's easy to assume that all you need is an impressive design and a URL (website address) but, there are many more important decisions to make when planning your website.

The key word here is planning and I have outlined below a basic and helpful process to help you create a functional website that is interesting to your clients:

1. Plan you site with good old fashioned pen and paper work - it helps most people to brainstorm a new sites requirements this way and you will see that more ideas appear using this method.

2. What are your objectives for your new website? - Is your website purely information source for new and existing customers or are you looking to generate new leads and sales online?

All of this will affect the way your Web Design agency creates your website. For instance a site that needs to generate leads and sales will need to be created in a way that search engines such as GOOGLE and MSN can read. This process is called Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short. Do you need to sell products online? If so then you require a full Ecommerce Website Solution. Now you have your objectives be realistic about timescales. Take into consideration that success on your website will take time even after your website is complete as search engines where most of your clients will find you are very slow at finding and updating websites.

3. How often will you need to change the content of your website or add new products? - It is possible that your website design agency can create you a Content Management System (CMS). A CMS is basically another website that you can use to control your customer facing site. Imagine you sell mobile phones online and frequently get new models coming into stock, with a CMS you can add these products instantly and (providing that your web design agency has created a good CMS) you need no web design or development experience. Often a content management system will use familiar buttons such as those seen in Microsoft Word.

4. How do I want the website to look? - match your site content to the look and feel of your design. That may sound vague but think of it like this: if you sell slippers online why would you use a design that incorporates cars and motorbikes into the design? It just doesn't work! You need to think about where your most important information should be on the website and how the users of your site will find their way around. A beautiful looking site that is difficult to navigate around is not useful to your clients and as such they won't use it. A search on your site may be helpful to your websites users especially if you have a large site and or lots of products. Where should this be on the site and on how many pages?

5. Once you have answered these questions write up a design specification document including all of this information and give this to your Website Design Agency. They will be able to give you an accurate idea of what is involved, supply you with a quote that should not change and more importantly create a site that is exactly what you asked for.

Good luck with your website:

How to Glamorously Dress Your Floors

Does your area rug stand out (um, in a good way not a scary way) or does it seem to just disappear within your room?

The perfect area rug for you will feel like you are slipping on your favorite home slippers every time you step onto your rug.

If you feel that your area rug seems to disappear within your room, or it extremely stands out within your room (screaming here I am every time you walk into you room), or you simply are not sure what is the best area rug for your room then follow this guide on how to glamorously dress your floors (with a red carpet style fit for you):

Think of the size of your room:

if you want a cozy feeling to your room, consider a large rug to dress your floors
if you want a room to feel larger, then consider a smaller area rug (no puffy dress for your floors!)

Think of the size of your furniture within the room:

Maintain a balance by considering the size of your furniture in proportion to the size of your dress (um, I mean area rug).

For example:

in the dining room - make sure that when the seats are pulled that your chair doesn't fall off the rug.
in the bedroom - no need to invest in a huge area rug or carpet when most of the rug will be covered by your bed. Instead, try using rug tiles (www.FLOR.com) or runners to cushion your glamorous feet.

Think of the patterns within your rooms:

if you have large busy patterns, then glam your floor with a classic solid or semi-solid design patterns to maintain a color/pattern balanced design within your room.

if you have minimal design patterns within your room, then glam your floor with a "look at me" dress and choose area rugs with patterns that pick up the colors within your room.

Think of your budget:

Are you planning on bringing your "dress" to the cleaners or vacuuming it yourself? Choose accordingly.

Think of your style:

Do you want an area rug because you think it is the "correct" decorating thing-to-do or because you love the look and feel of an area rug? Some people LOVE the feel of hardwood floors. Remember decorate for your comfort, not for friends or family that stop by occasionally.

Just like jewelry or a tie can change the look of an outfit, so can a rug change the feel of a room. For example, wearing pearls with jeans or a tie with jeans can quickly upgrade your outfit (not too dressy and not too casual = a harmonious balance).

Is your personality pearls/ties with jeans, sporty, elegant, conservative? Reflect your "personality" at home and you will want to zooooom to your home every day after work not to escape from work, but to enjoy your home.

Special note: keep in mind that when decorating your room, you have to view your OVERALL design, not just one item - view how every item flows within the room (is it too big, too small, too dark, too light, too blah, etc.) Now go and glamorize - let your personality shine in your home!

Dearfoams Women's Microsuede Clog Slipper, Winter White, 8 M

The wedding photography checklist helps capture those essential details of the marriage ceremony, which you wish to preserve for your benefit and for also showing it with pride to those, who could not attend the wedding or to your future children and grandchildren. The photography checklist helps you understand traditional photographic work flow. Though many other pictures will be shot during the wedding, some as noted below are a strict must; these are the ones to be included in the checklist. While giving the checklist to the photographer you must point out your parents, sisters, brothers, etc. to him.

Wedding photography checklist for the bride consists of the following musts: dressing for ceremony, wedding dress lying over a chair; zipping up or buttoning the wedding dress; brides mother fastening the bride's necklace; full-length photo of bride by herself; full length photo of bride with mother/father separately and together; photo of bride with the following separately: sisters, brothers, grandparents, ring bearer, flower girl, maid of honor, and attendants.

Wedding photography checklist for the groom consists of the following musts: Garter being put on groom, full-length photo of groom by himself; full length photo with mother and father separately and together; photo of groom with the following separately: grandparents, sisters, brothers, and best man.

The photography checklist for the wedding ceremony: (1) Birds eye view of ceremony site. (2) Guests walking into ceremony site (1) Groom and brides parents sitting down for ceremony. (2) Bridesmaids walking down aisle. (3) Flower garland ring bearer walking down aisle. (4) Bride and her father walking toward altar or canopy. (5) Bride's father offering her hand to groom. (6) Bride and groom exchanging vows. (7) Ring ceremony in progress.

The checklist after wedding proper: First, the photo of the bride and groom together, then that of the newly married couple with their respective parents, and then follows newly weds with the entire bridal party and at the last, a close-up freeze of both the bride's and the groom's hands clasped together.

Checklist for the reception: Bride and groom arriving at and going into the reception. Posed and candid photos of the receiving line, guests and bridal party, both bride and the groom cutting wedding cake and feeding each other, the best man toasting newlyweds, newlyweds talking to the guests, musicians engaged, dancing of newlyweds, guests dancing and newlyweds getting into the car with "Just married" placard and then a photo freeze showing rear of the car speeding away.

The disadvantage of wedding photography checklist is that it represses the photographers creativity.

Do you need some really nice wedding favors that will add a really nice touch to your reception?

We have many different types of bridesmaid gifts such as spa slippers, cosmetic bags, tote bags and much more.

So if you need wedding favors, place card holders, gifts or accessories we got you covered.

Women's Dearfoams DF906 (2 Pairs)

Dearfoams® microfiber suede one band scuff is the ideal active slipper. It has a molded footbed with patented technology and gore gussets for an improved fit.

It seems that the prefix 'cat' (Uff Da) is carelessly thrown around to include a range of definitions, i.e. catapult, catacomb, cataract, catch, catatonic, etc

Even the word Catholic starts with this and I feel very uncomfortable with it because it focuses on a particular animal and ignores others...like dogs. My email friend, Bernie, the St. Bernard, informs me that there is even a 'cat' sculpture in the papal garden that shows discrimination for a favorite pet.

If this discrimination were true, I would ask if Pope Benedict is catatonic by being fixed, rigid, and immovable towards one pet or will he include his kindness to us dogs?

Now, I like cats (UFF DA) but in different way. In my hometown of Embarrass, MN they were necessary for catching rodents and rats. But they couldn't pull a snow sled or carry a tune. Once in a while, they would rub up against you and purr, which is affectionate, but somewhat fickle.

Why doesn't the Pope get a dog or at least give us equal time with our own sculpture in his garden? We could fetch his slippers, carry his newspaper, and protect him against Lutherans.

I am reluctant to mention this and I don't want to start a controversy, but other religious leaders have expressed their love for the dog:

"I think God will have prepared everything for our perfect happiness. If it takes my dog being there [in Heaven], I believe he'll be there."

Rev. Billy Graham

To show 'catholic' or universal love for dogs, I would suggest an educational program from the Vatican for canine training by offering one good training idea for dog lovers everywhere. For example:

  • A training tip like: An idea for greeting a dog is to make sure he is quiet and calm first. Show him your open palms when facing him and kneel down (like in praying) to his level because this is a friendly posture and reassuring to him that you are no threat.

You could call this training: No Dog Left Behind and offer encouragement, training tips, and what great heroes dogs have been.

The point I am trying to make is: Adopt a dog and be divine. You don't really own a dog anyway, you rent them, and you have to be thankful that you had a long lease.

Immerse yourself in comfort with the Microfiber Velour Clog slipper from Dearfoams. This ultra-soft slipper has a cozy velour upper with tonal floral embroidery, a roomy round toe, an insole that conforms to your every step, and an indoor/outdoor flexible rubber outsole. Warm your sole with this featherweight slipper.
Customer Review: Pretty and comfortable
The soles are a little too thin for me. Wish they were thicker with a little more support. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Very pretty and washable.
Customer Review: Comfy Slippers
these slippers are cushy and very comfortable. The problem with them is they make your feet a bit sweaty.

When looking to buy file cabinets there are various things that you should be aware of. To begin with you should always have some idea of what you will use the cabinet for. Knowing this will also allow you to know what size file cabinets that you will need and how what type you should buy. All to often people rush out and buy a file cabinet that is either way to large or too small for what they need. It is always good to go a little bigger than smaller. By having large file cabinets you can feel assured that you will have enough room for everything, the problem arises when you have purchased a file cabinet, filled it and you still have paperwork and files left over.

Vertical file cabinets are the more traditional form of file cabinets. This is the type of office that you will see in more homes and offices. These cabinets are taller than they are wide. These are great if you are working with small or limited spaces. Most of these vertical file cabinets will have five drawers, however, if the cabinets are shorter then they could have as little as three drawers, or they could even have more than five, but you will need a room will high ceilings for these types of cabinets.

File cabinets can also be bought in lateral form. These file cabinets are wider than they are tall. These cabinets are designed for high volume capacity. They are made to hold letter size paper in most cases, and can have anywhere from two to five drawers. These file cabinets are not as deep as vertical file cabinets. If you have this type of file cabinet then you will find that your files and be stored in a number of ways. If you are working with a small number of files then you could store the files from front to back. However to make more room, the files could also be stored from side to side.

When searching for a new vacuum cleaner - people often forget about the weight of the cleaner. It's all very well selecting the top technology, the best reviews and the cheapest price but that won't help if you can't carry it upstairs. My wife always does this - instead of looking around for a nice lightweight vacuum cleaner - she buys one with every function under the sun and then she can't carry it anywhere!

To be honest most of the Dyson Vacuum cleaner range are guilty of being pretty heavy - some of them are well over 15 kgs which can be pretty tricky for a lot of people to drag up stairs. There is however one Dyson which can safely fit into the lightweight vacuum cleaner category - the Dyson DC24 Allfloors.

The dyson DC24 weighs in at about 5.4 kgs which is a nice comfortable weight for most us to carry with one hand - what's more the handle of the vacuum cleaner compresses to it can be stored in a very small space. The Dyson DC24 uses a rather clever system called the Dyson Ball technology - this is basically a rather neat idea where the vacuum is maneuvered on a ball instead of the usual wheels - this allows for free movement in any direction. A simple idea but it genuinely makes the vacuum easier to steer - especially as it is such a lightweight vacuum cleaner.

The big selling point of the Dyson vacuum cleaners has always been the rather grand sounding Root Cyclone technology which allows the vacuum to operate without a dust-bag and doesn't use a filter to trap the dirt and dust. This also cuts down the running costs of the vacuum and prevents the cleaner losing suction power by getting blocked.

There is one filter on the Dyson DC24 which is the HEPA filter used to trap small particles that can cause allergy problems such as cigarette smoke and pollen.

It's a very powerful machine surprising for such a lightweight vacuum cleaner - other handy features are the motorised brush bar which helps agitate the dirt from floors can easily be turned off so that you can vacuum hard floors and rugs easily.

The Dyson DC24 is a great choice if you're looking for a state-of-the art lightweight vacuum cleaner. Check out more information here

Dearfoams Women's Microfiber Terry Closed-Toe Scuff Slipper

As soon as you slip into these microfiber terrycloth slippers, you will feel like the queen you are. They feature a closed toe scuff with an embroidered upper.
Customer Review: Soft, comfortable and great for padding around the house.
I'm on my second pair of this slipper. I work from home so i wear them most of the day and they are loose enough to feel comfy and tight enough to stay on my feet while i run up and down the stairs. The sole also holds up great and doesn't damage my hardwood floors as i slide around on them but is alright to slip out real quick to take out the trash. They are a bit pricey...i found my latest pair at TJ Maxx for about $20.
Customer Review: Warm....Plush....Cozy.
I love these slippers, and I usually don't wear slippers. In fact these were so comfy, I bought two pairs--love them both.

Tanning is not always as simple as just lying down. Anyone who thought it was knows better now, because they wound up with white stripes down their sides! Follow these tips for a more even tan.

First, if you can find a stand-up booth, it solves the problem of uneven tanning. However, many people prefer tanning beds because they find them more relaxing.

The problem occurs because the sides of the tanning bed are open and thus there is a gap on both sides. But lying with your arms raised over your head WILL help minimize the white stripes on your sides. If you can rotate your body at a slight angle while you tan, for equal time on both sides, this will eliminate the unevenness all-together.

Some tanners have experienced uneven tans on their shoulders, behinds, and the backs of their legs because of the pressure exerted by lying on them. Turning on your stomach halfway through your tanning will give you an even tan on your back and your front.

One more tip: Sometimes, the white stripes on your sides are not so much from the gaps in the tanning bed but more because you have not applied your tanning lotion evenly. It is easy to forget your sides and hips, especially if you are in a hurry or if you are concentrating so hard on getting the stuff on your back. Make sure you apply evenly all around your torso, and you will soon see your tan start to even out.

Who says that only mind freaks can have photographic memory? You definitely can hear the oohs and aahs when the Mind Freak himself was able to draw for you a detailed drawing of the entire city just after a 5 min helicopter ride. It is a miracle how these people are able to remember so well. Now, imagine if you have the exact same power and ability. Wouldn't that be incredible? Just glimpse through your textbooks the hour before you sit for your exam and you will definitely score a miracle 'A'. Check out these 3 effective photographic memory techniques for you that you can use and benefit from.

Before getting started, photographic memory requires some kind of practice and technique too. So if you cannot do it after the first try, do not quit. Give yourself some time to get used to it too.

First, the link system is usually used to aid you with all sorts of memory work. This is highly useful for memorizing texts in the form of lists or chores. So, lets say if you have a long shopping list to remember, try to get all the words and try to make it into mental scenario out of it. Example, if you are given a list of things - pink, shirt, cat, slippers, ironing and flowers, make a picture out of this by thinking of CAT wearing a SHIRT printed with FLOWERS and so on. When you reach the last item, try to link it to the first. This short mental film will help you to remember effectively and quickly.

The second method is to use the peg system. The peg system is used usually to remember images in a sequence. This number-shape system will help you to remember the sequences of images accurately in a jiffy. For example, you are given pictures of a dog, cat, mouse, elephant, antelope and giraffe arranged in this sequence. To use the peg system, simply attach a number to each picture Example 1 dog, 2 cats, 3 mice, 4 elephant et cetera. At the same time, use your mental scenario to make the peg system work. Remember to link the animals to each other, by using the same technique as mentioned in the link system.

The last technique would involve the use of the ever-famous mind mapping. Back in the school days, the mind mapping technique is a very popular and highly encouraged technique. However, over time, people choose to chuck this technique away simply because they are finding it harder to use. Well, this of course depends on the kind of area you are planning to use the mind mapping technique for. To use the mind mapping technique effectively, simply take the key central image of the concept and branch out information that is related. It might get messier as you go by, but it is an excellent tool for organizing a busy timetable or storing large quantities of information.

Developing photographic memory is not at all that tough. If you are not born with this gift, then get sneaky and try out these tricks and apply them. Your friends will be shocked by your tremendous improvement in your memory work.

Mohair yarn is a wool-like textile fiber produced as a simple fleece on Angora Goats. The Angora breed originated in Turkey. Mohair is a protein fiber. It has a smooth cuticular scale pattern on the surface imparting luster and low felting capacity. It grows rapidly at about 2cm per month and is shorn every six months. The fiber ranges from about 23 microns in mean diameter at the first shearing, to as much as 38 microns in older animals. This large increase in fiber diameter as the animals age results in a large range of uses for the fiber. "Kid" mohair is used in knitwear, intermediate diameter mohair (often referred to as "Young Goat") is used in suiting materials while the stronger "Adult" or "Fine Hair" types are used in coating and rug manufacture.

Steeped in history, forever in tune with a changing world, the mohair fiber epitomizes the everlasting appeal of beauty and quality. Mohair, the lustrous, long, and strong hair of the Angora goat, enhances modern fabrics of today as it did the robes of biblical wise man.
What started out as fashionable style have become lifestyle choices. The unique properties of mohair have made it an extremely desired fiber through the centuries for both attire and home furnishings. Its soft luxurious hand and rich sheen combine with great durability for a long lasting product. With its high affinity for dyes, mohair produces colors that have an unmatched precision and halo-like radiance. Fabrics containing lively, even mohair do not have a tendency to be easily crushed or tangled.
Mohair is an all-season fashion fiber, in wonderfully warm knits and woven for cold weather, and in airy, lightweight makeup that breathe with the body for warm days. Used alone or in blends, mohair imparts its inimitable signature to countless variety of fabric textures, from lofty fleeces, rich tweeds, and frothy knits, to crisp man's suiting fabrics. As a replica fur fabric, mohair creates and environmentally friendly substitute to real fur. Mohair is a naturally soft fiber, which is enhanced by current proficiency and contemporary processing techniques.

As a decorating fabric, mohair is revered for its flame-resistance, and high sound absorbency. It is ideal for civic places such as concerto halls, theatres, hotel atriums, offices as well as for homes. In addition, mohair drapes are effective insulators, keeping heat in during cold weather and serving as a fence against outside scorching temperatures in summer.Mohair can be used in numerous items; accessories of hats, scarves, lounging boots and slippers; throws and blankets; carpeting and rugs; wigs; paint rollers and ink transfer pads; and children's toys. Through the ages the appeal of mohair has continued, acclimatizing to the times with new and exciting fabric and style interpretations.
